I will admit it has been a while since I bought a CD (thanks pandora) but I made an exception for the “Rocks into Rivers” album by Seabird.  I saw a mini-documentary about the recording process and I was intrigued so I picked it up.  It is a great CD.  The songs are melodic and well written. The tone of the album is exceptional.  Finally some current music that is well written and well crafted.  The bottom line is you should become a Seabird fan.

The gritty vocal on the Title track “Rocks into Rivers” is worth the getting the album alone.  Also the catchy intro to “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful” is very fun to listen to.

Although Seabird isn’t completely unique (there are a lot of bands with similar sounds like Lifehouse, One Republic, etc.) they have mastered their version of haunting pop music and I appreciate excellence.  I really enjoyed this album.
