I did not do a lot of dating when I was younger, so I never experienced what it was like to be set-up on a blind date.  But I do understand what it feels like to be set-up by God.

What does that mean Joe?

Glad you asked, I recently had a set-back with work stuff.  My first reaction was to be bummed that stuff didn’t work out the way I wanted. So I got in the car and went to a place where I feel God… Chick-fil-A.

As I was eating my delicious Christian food (by the way did you know at Chick-fil-A you don’t need to say grace because of the food is deep fried in holiness?) I started to remember all the times in my life it felt like God was setting me up.

Normally what happens with me is when I experience a set-back, God is actually setting me up for something new.  The Bible says that He works out all things for the good of those who love him.

So maybe your set-back is really a set-up.

Just a little Chick-fil-A Nugget of wisdom.
